So, a few days ago I made this post talking about the Blogosphere’s pride month bingo challenge + some of the potential reads that I was thinking about for that challenge. After discovering that my library system doesn’t carry If Not, Winter (please imagine me shaking my fist in rage at this revelation) I threw that tentative TBR out the window and came up with a brand new (and much longer) one.Continue reading “June 2021 TBR (for real this time)”
Late to the party, as usual, but here are all of the books I’ve read from January 1st to March 31st, as well as some life updates and shout-outs.Continue reading “First Quarter Wrap Up: 2021”
I read and reviewed 3 books this month, which… wow, okay, January was not a good reading month for me. I don’t mind sharing why, but in the meantime let’s jump right into the books.Continue reading “January 2021 Wrap-Up”
So, I was thinking of making a “most anticipated 2021 releases post” but since I already do a Can’t Wait Wednesday post every week, I decided to shake things up and try a new reading challenge in 2021.
I swear I came upon with this reading challenge independently, but I’m certainly not surprised that it has been “officially” done (for four years in a row!) by Crystal and Megan @ Bookstacks & Golden Moms. Please read on and behold a list of books that range (by title) from A to Z. Somehow, a lot of them are sapphic.Continue reading “2021 A to Z Reading Challenge”
Hey, friends! If you recall my December 2020 TBR post, this was my commitment to spend an entire month reading romance — which is something I’ve never done before. Of course, one non-romance book snuck in, but that’s more than okay.
I read 6 books this month. Let’s dive in, and afterwards examine the end-of-the-year stats.Continue reading “December Wrap-Up + 2020 Stats”
NaNoWriMo is officially over. I had a blast! I didn’t get those 50,000 words written and therefore technically failed, but my final word count was a lot more than I would have written without NaNo giving me that kick in the pants. It was a great experience, and I’m very eager to participate again next year.
However, I put everything on hold for NaNoWriMo — including this blog! I missed blogging so much! I missed seeing everyone’s posts and knowing what people were reading and enjoying, I missed the community, I missed getting to share my thoughts on the books I finished… heck, it sure was a lot. I’m so happy to be back!Continue reading “December 2020 TBR”
“Jessica, it’s December,” I hear you saying, and yes, I know. NaNoWriMo started around the time I should have made my October wrap-up, and I just completely forgot everything I was supposed to be doing with this blog. Better late than never, I guess?Continue reading “October & November 2020 Wrap-Up”
So, I’ve decided that for this October I would challenge myself.Continue reading “October 2020 TBR”
September has been… not crazy, per se, but this is the month that I started to buckle down and really work on this blog and my reading. I’m excited to share! I’ve never done a wrap-up before, so I loosely modeled mine after the wrap-up done by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook.
I read seven books this month! Let’s jump into them.Continue reading “September 2020 Wrap-Up”
